At Har-co Credit Union, we want to make sure that using your VISA® Debit Card is always as safe and convenient as possible. That’s why we use text alerts as part of our ongoing fraud monitoring program. Our FREE text alert service allows you to instantly keep tabs on suspicious card activity. With Har-co fraud monitoring, keeping your debit card safe is as easy as sending a text.
With text fraud alerts, if our system detects suspicious activity on your card, you’ll receive a text message with details about the suspected transaction. All you have to do is respond to the text to confirm the transaction.
If you indicate the transaction is fraud, you’ll receive another message with a number to call for follow-up. If not, you’re all set. The system will mark the transaction as legitimate and you can get on with your day – simple as that.
If we have your mobile phone number on file, you don’t have to do anything. It’s really that easy. If there is suspicious activity, we’ll send a text alert right away. If you need to verify or update your mobile phone number give us a call at 410-838-9090.
Har-co Credit Union uses a powerful tool for early detection of fraudulent activity on your Har-co VISA® Debit or VISA® Credit Card. You are automatically protected 24/7. All you need to do is keep your phone numbers up-to-date with the credit union.If fraudulent activity is suspected, the Fraud Monitoring Service automated notification system will call you directly at your current phone number on file to verify transactions. If the automatic caller reaches an answering machine or voice mail system, an automated message with contact information will be left. Har-co's Fraud Monitoring Services' system will contact you between the hours of 8:00 am-9:00 pm local time based on your area code. Two calls will be made to each of your phone numbers with a 15 minute gap between calls for one day. Based on your instructions, Har-co's Fraud Monitoring Service can permanently block your card, place a temporary block on your card, or they can take no action at all and close the alert. If you do not respond to the Fraud Monitoring Service directly, you may also receive a call from credit union staff in the following days.NOTE: If you plan on traveling, please check the status of your Har-co VISA® Debit or VISA® Credit Cards in the area you will be visiting. Due to increased fraud activity, Har-co has blocked the use of cards in certain areas. This is done to protect YOU from becoming a fraud victim. Contact a Call Center Agent at 410-838-9090 or 410-879-3762 or 1-888-427-2628 to notify Har-co of your travel dates to prevent any unnecessary blocks.
If your VISA® Debit or VISA® Credit Card is lost or stolen, IMMEDIATELY notify the credit union by calling 410-838-9090 or 410-879-3762 during regular business hours. If you discover your card is lost or stolen when the credit union is closed, report your card lost/stolen by dialing 1-800-472-3272.

Bring your spare change to Har-co Credit Union. Whether you keep your loose coins in a piggy bank or an old coffee container, our electronic coin counting machines can be a great convenience for you and your family.
Avoid separating and rolling your old, dirty coins. Simply bring your coins into any branch, put your coins in the machine, and press the “START” button. The coins are counted within seconds! Once the counting process has been completed, the machine issues a receipt that is then taken to a teller for deposit into your account or redeemed for cash.
FREE coin counting is available for Har-co Credit Union members for up to $150 in a calendar month. Thereafter, a 10% processing fee will be applied on amounts over $150. US currency only. Silver Dollars may not be accepted in our coin machines.
The Telephone Teller system gives you access to all of your available financial information - where and when you want it.
Members use the telephone keypad to identify themselves by their member number and personal identification number (PIN). The system prompts the user throughout the call with a friendly, conversational recording that provides access to all of your available financial information. Available in English and Spanish.
