Find your next car on marketplace, the side of Rt. 152, or from your aunt who just bought a new Prius. Once you get all the details we can begin the appplication process.

Get approved

Get your loan approved from us to purchase the vehicle from the seller. This can be done online in a few minutes! Once you approved, you'll get a link in an email to start the KeySavvy process.

Verify your identity

Using the link sent after your approval, both the buyer and seller will verify their identity online. KeySavvy also verifies title and registration to guarantee a worry-free transfer of ownership.

Pay online

KeySavvy sends your purchase order directly to Har-co Credit Union for faster funding (often same day). Cash transactions are handled online via bank account, Zelle, or credit card.

Hand over keys

Buyer and seller meet to hand over keys or the vehicle is shipped. KeySavvy provides temporary registration so the buyer can legally drive right away.

Seller gets paid

Sellers can get paid by direct deposit or check. If the seller has the title, KeySavvy provides detailed instructions for signing and mailing it in. If they have a loan, KeySavvy pays it off.

When will KeySavvy receive my loan funds?

Once your loan is funded, KeySavvy will receive the funds within one business day. Wire transfers are not instant and can take a few hours or up to one business day to be received by KeySavvy.

When does the seller get paid?

After KeySavvy verifies and approves a sale, they'll send the seller an email letting them know it's OK to give the vehicle to the buyer.

If the seller has a loan and doesn't have their title, KeySavvy will initiate their payout and a payment to their lienholder when the buyer or their shipper pick up the vehicle.

If the seller has their title, KeySavvy will provide a state-specific guide for signing and mailing it to KeySavvy. KeySavvy will initiate their payout when they receive the title and the buyer or their shipper pick up the vehicle. For sellers wanting to get paid as quickly as possible, they should mail their title to KeySavvy as soon as their title guide is available.

When can I pick up/receive the vehicle?

After KeySavvy receives payment and both parties have e-signed the bill of sale, KeySavvy will send an email letting the buyer and seller know it’s ok to hand over the keys. The buyer and seller can determine the best place to meet or arrange shipping if not a local purchase.

Do I have to pay taxes and registration fees?

Yes, in order to register your vehicle, you will pay taxes and registration fees to your state. If we register the vehicle, we'll collect taxes and fees from you. Otherwise, you'll pay taxes and fees at your local DMV. Some states exempt certain private party sales from tax and we'll notify you if we see you'll pay more in taxes as a result of us processing your transaction as a dealer.
