Mortgage Officer

Mortgage Officer will solicit and originate mortgage applications within eligible lending footprint of MD, DE and PA. Certain products will require membership eligibility.  Production targets will beset to include first and second mortgage loans and met through outside sales initiatives. Must develop relationships with referrals sources including realtors and relationship-based businesses as well as promote mortgage products through networking and community events. Responsible for advising clients on mortgage options across all product lines. Manage and monitor pipeline of mortgage loans through various stages from preapproval to contract, with regular follow-up and communication. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-year background in loan origination and knowledge of standard underwriting guidelines, be up to date on industry trends, regulations and best practices related to mortgage lending and processing. Position will be supported by processing department and marketing department and will work under supervision of Senior Mortgage Officer. Will uphold credit unions core values, represent Har-co in the community and adhere to the member experience pledge.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your existing referral relationships to generate consistent loan volume
  • Independently structure a mortgage to client needs
  • Verify and compile a complete and accurate loan application, analyze credit, calculate income and financial statements to assess borrowers' qualifications and loan feasibility
  • Electronically disclose required upfront loan application disclosures compliant under current regulations
  • Maintain awareness of your pipeline, deadlines, expiration dates and communicate with parties
  • Navigate internal and external pricing and funding sources

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated existing book of referral partners
  • Highly organized and effective multi-tasker
  • Excellent communication skills
  • NMLS in good standing
  • Demonstrated ability in analysis, problem-solving and time management
  • General knowledge of conventional and government guideline and understanding of DU/LP

Pay and Benefits: This is a full-time exempt position with an annual salary range of $40,000 to $47,500 with the possibility of incentive compensation and an annual bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, voluntary short-term disability insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off based on years of service, and a 401(k) plan with employer match available.
