April 1, 2024 – Bel Air, MD – Har-co Credit Union completed the second annual March bracket tournament - 'Har-co Helping Har.Co.'! Once again, Har-co Credit Union included 16 local non-profit organizations in a bracket style competition, as an effort to concurrently raise awareness for these organizations and to support their causes. After four tough rounds and thousands of votes later, The Hero Rescue took home the championship!
Starting in 2019, The Hero Rescue was formed by a network of volunteers and fosters committed to saving lives of animals at risk of euthanasia, abuse, and neglect.
"As a member of this community for almost 70 years, we are consistently looking for the most impactful way to give back." stated Alex Coulson, Chief Marketing Officer of Har-co Credit Union. "We have such amazing local organizations throughout Harford County. We started this tournament as a way to raise awareness for as many organizations as possible in a single campaign, over the course of a month. This tournament allows followers of specific organizations as well as our general membership to learn about the other ones throughout the county."
The Hero Rescue will be awarded $2,000. Later this month, Har-co will be unveiling another way that they are supporting the organization. Congratulations to the other 15 organizations as they also receive donations from Har-co for their participation in this year's competition.
