‍May 22, 2026 - Bel Air, MD - We are thrilled to share some exciting news for our local businesses!Yesterday, we joined Maryland leaders, community financial institutions, and fintech innovators at the Expanding Horizons: Access to Capital Forum in College Park. We are incredibly proud to announce that our partnership with LoanStar Technologies has been selected for the inaugural group of MCIV Fund grant awardees! This fund helps bridge the gap between financial technology and community institutions to expand capital in underserved areas.

"Up until now, local businesses primarily only had the option to offer financing through big banks," says Burke Bowers, VP of Commercial Lending. "With this grant we will be able to offer a localized service that puts the business and their customers first, especially in areas of Harford County that have been underserved."

Through this joint effort, we will integrate LoanStar’s platform directly into local businesses allowing them to offer flexible financing options to their customers at the point of sale. Read more about the fund grant here.
